At the age of 16, she traveled to Cuba also with City Ballet and danced with the Cubana Ballet Company for 4 weeks, performing at the US embassy with the company.

Sara later trained at the Banff Performing Arts, and was chosen to be a soloist performer for the ballet La Bayadere.

Her time with Visions Dance Company in White Rock BC under the direction of Susie Green, allowed her to compete in the US. In addition, they travelled to Beijing for the International NGO Women’s Conference, where they performed for over 5,000 people.

At the age of 19, Sara was accepted into Ballet BC as a professional dancer.

Her teaching carrer came in her late 20’s where she taught Ballet and Lyrical to children ages 10 to 18.  Since then she has been choreographing groups and solos for festivals in Kamloops, Kelowna and Vernon.

She has also had the pleasure of working with one of the Prima Ballerinas from the Russian Ballet during their Nutcracker tour, where she helped set choreography for the children’s parts. Sara has a daughter who has grown up loving the art of dance and it is a strong connection they share, being a part of the ageless, amazing world of dance.
