She completed her BFA, MFA (Dance), and MFA in Contemporary Dance Choreography at York University, worked as an Assistant Professor in the Fine Arts Dance Department at York University, and continues to work as a creator, performer and teacher in various capacities.
Her pedagogy has developed as her teaching practice expanded over the years – offering classes of various styles, to multiple ages and abilities and for a variety of purposes – bringing her from pre-schools, to community centres, to high schools, to dance studios, to international dance residencies, to conferences, to graduate programs. As a community involved leader she has also been supported through arts grants and organizations to create and implement programs for youth and young kids. Her teaching approach and energetic disposition, encourage students to move quickly out of their shell and feel supported in their own explorations and risk taking.
